How it works
How anti-wrinkle ingredients work, and what they cannot do. Written from published research, not about our own product.
Do peptides actually work for wrinkles?
Yes, but modestly, and it depends entirely on which peptide. Signal peptides show small measurable improvements in human trials — smaller than retinoids — and the ingredient list tells you less than you think.
Peptides vs retinol — which should you use?
On evidence, retinol wins and it is not close. On tolerability, peptides win — and an active you abandon has an effect size of zero. Plus whether you can use both.
What can you do about forehead lines without Botox?
Start by telling static lines from dynamic ones, because that decides whether a topical can do anything at all. What actually helps, what does not, and why "Botox in a bottle" is not a real thing.
How do you get rid of smile lines?
Nasolabial folds are mostly not a skin problem — they are volume loss as the midface descends, which is why topicals do so little. What helps, what does not, and why this line is unlike a forehead line.
How do you get rid of under-eye wrinkles?
Under-eye lines, under-eye bags and dark circles are three different problems with three different causes, and they respond to completely different things. Separate them first.
How do you get rid of neck lines?
Some horizontal neck lines are anatomical creases you were born with and will not remove. The rest is sun damage and posture, and that part does improve. Plus why the neck ages faster than the face.
How do you get rid of wrinkles around your mouth?
Three different lines live around the mouth — lip lines, marionette lines and nasolabial folds — with three different causes. Which respond to topicals, which need an injectable, and why this skin is unusually hard to treat.
How do you get rid of bags under your eyes?
Bags have two causes: retained fluid and herniated orbital fat. The first improves within a morning; the second is not something any topical addresses. Tell them apart before spending money.
How do you get rid of crepey skin?
Crepey skin is not the same thing as a wrinkle. It is elastin loss plus chronic dryness, spread across an area rather than drawn in a line — which changes what helps, and makes moisturiser matter more here than almost anywhere.
How do you get rid of brow wrinkles?
The vertical lines between the brows and the horizontal ones above them come from two different muscles and need different answers. What topicals reach, what they do not, and one habit most people never connect to it.
